This triptych was to illustrate iconic scenes from the owners’ homeland in Turkey, and covered the main wall of their popular eatery. The clients particularly wanted scenes from the Bosphorus Strait to include The Blue Mosque, Maiden Tower and the signature local water buses. Although the images were in separate spaces, they needed to have a sense of continuity throughout, and water became the main theme through all of them.
